Okra Defined
A tall plant from the mallow family that produces an edible pod containing a gooey, mucilaginous flesh with seeds. Often called "gumbo" because is used in gumbos, soups and stews. Okra serves to thicken the liquid in which it is cooked.

The Cedar Restaurant used to be a hole in the wall on a strip of Sea Point's Main Road frequented by les filles de joie . The slogan on the window said: "You've tried the rest, now try the best." On display were two trays of contracting baklava. To get in you pressed the buzzer on a security gate.

I became a vegetarian a little while after my first visit to Kansas. Outside of Dodge City, out on the highway, is a special turnout with an overlook sign. The sign intrigued me, because a cursory glance didn’t reveal any particular natural phenomenon worthy of a special viewing.
