- Vidalia Onion And Swiss Cheese Casserole Recipe: Was searching for a "main course" to go with candied yams I was craving. Made this "casserol e" recipe with one medium sauteed (not boiled) onion, frozen veggie broth, cheddar cheese, and a well-chopped piece of toast instead of cracker crumbs. I forgot the milk, but it turned out okay. Maybe a little too buttery with my sauteed onions, though.
